Casing is a moulding profile generously used in spaces. Casings primarily go around as window casing and modern door casing. Baseboard and casing are sometimes interchangeably used in the industry by renovators, but it serves the sole purpose of filling out any gaps between the dry wall and the window/door frame. Modern door casing and modern window casing trim are both used for their functionality but are also very decorative as they are most visibly seen on a project.
